you unhook your tether
and i drift away
into vast blank space
no oxygen to say
the heart is a racecar
revving high RPM
i can't feel my pulse
my body, not a limb
this subzero severing
from my neck to my eyes
no memories anchoring
a world now atom-sized
my eyes seek your reflection
glinting in the dark
my dearest cosmonaut
i still feel the seared mark
the gaping void called logic
leaves no mind to losewaxing and waning cosmic,my vacuumed voice gasps for you.
